Goldring Phono Cartridges

Goldring http://www.goldring.co.uk/ is a UK cartridge manufacture that offers a few affordable high-end phono cartridges. I have not heard or have experience with any of their cartridges, so I can not comment on sound signature or anything. I include them in this list though because it widens the choice for you.

The models I choose to call affordable are:
Goldring 1006
Goldring GL2100
Goldring GL2200
We start getting into the max end of what I consider “affordable” here:
Goldring G 2300
Goldring 1012GX
Goldring 1022GX
Goldring 1042

Goldring cartridges are available at places like Osage Audiohttp://www.osageaudio.com/Goldring.html or Needledoctor http://www.needledoctor.com/Online-Store/Goldring-Phono-Cartridges for the complete line.

Here is another Goldring cartridge, the GL2100.
What is different is that this is classified as a Moving Iron cartridge, which is essentially very similar to a moving magnet cartridge although it is reported that Moving Iron cartridges can produce more hum than a Moving Magnet cartridge. I have no measured or experiential proof of this though.
